About the Role
As a Commercial Graduate, you will complete 18 months within the commercial business area. This is a high-growth development role designed to build your foundational skills in data flow, client documentation, and business growth. Initially, you will provide vital analytical and operational support to our Commercial team. Over time, you will specialise in either Business Development (growth and acquisition) or Customer Success (retention and partnership).
Within the role you will also gain exposure to key commercial functions, including:
- Sales & Business Development – Identifying new opportunities and building client relationships.
- Customer Success – attending face to face meetings with customers, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will build a sophisticated understanding of contract management and commercial strategy.
Throughout the programme, you will collaborate with senior leaders, work on strategic projects, and develop a deep understanding of commercial operations.
As part of your role as a Commercial Graduate, you will:
- Support the Business Development or Customer Engagement teams with essential operational framework and market insights that allows the commercial team to thrive.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve team targets.
- Ensuring data accuracy and providing actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
- Supporting the delivery of collective growth objectives through diligent preparation and coordination.
- Conducting targeted research to identify market trends and customer opportunities.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Any degree (2:2 or above). A business, finance or social science related subject with a focus on communication would be advantageous but not essential.
- A full UK driving license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the potential to grow as a leader.
- The ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, trust and credibility at all levels.
- Strong data analysis skills and the ability to undertake research and market intelligence to support the commercial proposition for a customer.
- Previous experience in a customer facing or commercial role, along with familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot and Salesforce is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
